The composite bed is very slippery for unsecured bins or other things. For whatever reason, generic rubber mats that could be cut to size are difficult to find where I am. Tried all the standard home supply stores nearby. Just looking for possible alternatives to the pricey tacoma one from the dealership which I'll probably end up getting anyways. Curious as to what others use.

I'd just stick with OEM. I ordered mine from Toyota dealer a few years ago for like $85 shipped or something. Fits the bed perfectly, no cutting, is tough as nails, and even has the "Tacoma" logo on it.

The only alternative id go for is the horses stall mats you can get at a feed store or tractor supply/ace hardware for a bit cheaper. They are thicker, but consequently heavier, and won't fit 100% perfect. Most I've seen pics of are like 3 inches short of the bed width on either side. You'll have to cut it to fit around he wheel wells.

yea i have the factory one to. Was cheap and looks good. I will say NOTHING moves on it. I recently moved some furniture and the good part is I probably didnt even need to tire it down cause it wouldnt slide an inch. bad part pushing it in the bed you can just push it back. you have to pickup and carry it to the back because the rubber wont let it budge

Factory is the way to go, it's heavy enough the wind doesn't take it away.

They aren't that expensive, I scored one on craigslist from a second gen for $50

OEM for the win. I got mine on eBay, there was a code on here somewhere to get a discount from the seller on eBay. I've left a pocket knife in the middle of the mat and drove around all day and it stayed in the same spot its awesome.

Factory all the way. Well worth the money and everything stays where you put it on the mat!

Another fan of the factory mat here. I have put one in all 3 tacomas I have had. Nice and heavy mat. I find a good price on Amazon and get my dealer to match.

You really can't complain about $86 for a bed mat. The ford OEM one is nearly double that

I bought the OEM mat last weekend, was actually cheaper at the dealer than Amazon. Has a really strong rubber smell, which I hope goes away, but it is grippy.

Factory mat. Fits great and is very tacky. Nothing ever slides around on it.

I just got back from the dealer with an oem mat for my 17 pro

It was $109. I'd recommend that same one, looks to be the same as Amazon, but for some odd reason it was cheaper!
