good evening everyone! just returned from north carolina. poured rain on us almost the whole way down, the whole time we were there, and almost the whoe way home. the roads were flooding and there were flash flood warnings everywhere. we spent about 5 hours going through my aunt and uncles house it was left to my mother a week ago when our cousin passed away. it was sad going through all their memories but can't just leave it there. the interior belongings were split between mom and another lady i think she got the most valuable stuff already. we will have to go back for some furniture but did bring back some really cool stuff. old metal coolers 1 coca cola 1 toyal crown cola, some diner stools, and i found 3 rifles and a sword. 1 rifle appears to be civil war issue the other 2 are winchester model 94's 1 is an illinois sesquintennial edition, the other law enforcement/peacekeeper special edition beautiful engraving neither have ever been out of the boxes apperently let alone shot hopefully i can find someone who knows about these guns and can help me figure them out. anyway hope all are safe and well

Those 300# zip ties are awesome! I carry 4 with me in the woods hunting in case I have to release the dog from a Conibear trap. And hope like hell I never have to you only have seconds to do it. Like your useage much better. Hope your still kicking butt at the Glen!

Now your talking glad you got out. Snowed this morning but only down to 34 so didn't stick long. Frost warning tonight, rain on and off all day. Hurt from head to toe walked a lot of miles with the dog. Who is passed out right now after eating 2 big bowls of food and a third pound of fatty hamburger. Don't know that my truck will ever come clean again inside or out LOL. Totally worth it though just to watch the dog if nothing else.

We got a red phase ruffie right before dark tonight. Leave in the morning to head back to the real world. Sucks to leave but have some good memories this week.

You can check gunbroker for past auctions and check out prices they sold for. NIB with all papers never fired is going to bring a premium. Gunbroker and auction sites can be a pain dealing with people, but likely will get you top dollar. Make sure you have a reserve in place. It is easier to just sell them direct to a reseller but you will likely only get 60 cents on the dollar at best (ie: Cableas, etc.)

I usually come up through Goler and stay at the Geologist Cabin. Hoping to make it up there soon. Been since last year already. Have fun

That would be a family heirloom and I would never sell it either!

I have my grandfather's Winchester 94, early production. Carried a lot and shot a lot including this deer. I don't deer hunt anymore and never shoot it. But it is not for sale at any price. If one of my sons sells it after I am gone I will come back from the grave to give them hell LOL.
