Meh. I can afford to. My wife had dental work done so I took her vicodin. This is way more fun than anything going on outside.

Noble, IL. - No problem driving on the pavement. And during snowfalls I stay in my apartment until the road dries off. Salt never sees the under carriage of my truck.

Go ahead and drive that toyata SR5, you have decent taste. All I'm saying is it makes no sense to trade in a tacoma for a ford...and on top of that post it here(tacomaworld.com). Seems like the OP has some separation issues. Ford's are God awful, your better off with a high priced schwin because at some point that POS will be in the shop.

Is there a vehicle that won't be in the shop at some point? I'll take one.

I'm not really into the new Tundra's looks either and the previous generation is probably the full size truck design that I've liked the most out of any ever so I'm not biased against Tundras lol. I don't know what the concept was supposed to be other than follow the crowd and make it look more like a domestic vehicle rather than its own thing like it was in the previous generations. :(

If I had to get a ford, I would definitely get the 2017 Ford Atlas! This is an awesome truckimage.jpg

My work truck is a 2013 F150 with the 5.0. Zero issues to speak of.. I drive my Tacoma when I go hunt or fish, but the rest of the time I CHOOSE to drive the Ford. I maintain both vehicles as they should be and the result is two reliable trucks. Though I have had some minor things with my 06 Tacoma- wheel bearings, ac module, soft rear springs, temp display, etc.- all have been fixed- thanks Tacomaworld.

I have one of each also. Both have their strengths. The Ford is massive inside, tows and hauls more, is far more comfortable and quiet, and I get the same overall fuel mileage. The Tacoma is smaller, easier to park and fits into more tight spots off road.

Don't worry about long term reliability and resale. Yes Toyota is a little better, but the actual differences are a LOT closer than the Toyota fanboys will admit. After you drive either 200,000 miles you'll get very little in resale for either and a few hundred dollars in extra repair bills spread over 10 years is a decent trade off for the bigger truck and the comfort.
