Do you remember what you paid for the Taco? Seems like you did well on the trade.

Wow, I am going from the AC to DC for more room. Hope it's big enough. Seriously the DC was not big enough for the kids? Or was it more not comfortable?

That's a concept truck (2014) that was the platform for the new (2015) f150

My brother has a 4 door F150 ecoboost and I have a 4 door Tacoma. The room for his rear seats is probably like 12" more legroom, not exaggerating ... and it's also a bit wider, so more shoulder room. It's a lot more room, but I don't know the exact #'s. Plus, if you have the 6.5" bed (like my brother's) it's definitely a nice upgrade in bed capacity over the 5' I have. More width and length. I borrowed his truck for a few weeks the other year when I had to move, before I had my Tacoma, and while the f150 has lots of room and can tow great, it's also just really huge on the road and a bit more difficult to park. The F150 won't fit in my garage, a Tacoma will. The Tacoma meets my needs, but I'm not as concerned with passenger room or hauling capacity. Also, the Tacoma TRD OR for me was $32.4k+tax/tag, which was considerably less than I was finding similarly equipped XLT FX4's for. I was happy to save ~$10k and the Tacoma was a good fit for me. It really just comes down to what you want/need, and getting the right thing for you.

Ruby Red is one of the best colors Ford has come out with these past few years ... it really accents the lines of a vehicle, and has a lot of depth to the color.

I'm probably just a sucker for a redhead though ...

Well, a good way to put it is that people start confusing their identity with the items they buy. Then if someone else doesn't find that same item to be the best (perhaps something else is a better fit for their lifestyle) it is an assault on the identity of the other. This is why people get heated when discussing politics, religion, Chevy vs. Ford, etc. These are all things that people associate with their personal identity... a great essay on this subject: Keep Your Identity Small

I can understand that, and have been found guilty of that way of thinking before unfortunately. The essay was a good read, and hit the nail right on the head.

I see what you did there. Let's take a Giant Trek to find some Specialized bike jokes.
