Ok pulled the trigger today and decided I'm going to go ahead and start my expedition build (this coming year I'm going to do a cross country trip, next year an Alaska trip)... needless to say I'm going to go over board on my build
    Suspension:
    - Icon stage 3
    Armor:
    - Pelfrey built front skeleton bumper/winch/led's
    - steel rear bumper (possibly???)
    - snorkel

    Bed setup
    - brute force bed cage with all accessories (hijack, antenna, ditch lights/leds, tire mount...)
    - cvt tent

    Cab setup
    - upgrade sound system to drown out tire hum (wife's request)
    - handheld cb radio
    - fridge
    - on board air (possibly under hood)
    - small portable microwave/toaster
... list may get larger as time grows near will be doing this trip fall 2017... my question is?
    1) Will the icon stage 3 system be able to carry the weight and not sag?
    2) anything else you guys can think of that I might need to add for my expedition build?
... will make a build thread when I start my purchases and building :), my hopes with this is to meet a lot of fellow TW members along the way! (Virginia to Cali and back! 15 day trip)

With all that weight you'll likely want a different leaf pack. If your concerned about cab noise I'd insulate the cab.

So the icon aal won't work with my expedition set up?

Nope it really isn't meant for much weight.
Bed rack, fridge, stee rear bumper, and camping/recovery gear...it'll sag for sure.

If I was going to build a truck for true expedition use - where you are putting thousands and thousands of miles on the open highway under it - I would keep the front wheel wells closed (stock bumper).

The cab noise and MPG loss from offroad bumpers is pretty brutal, and when you truly expo'ing, you probably aren't going to be absolutely hammering the hard stuff on the trails. Breaking stuff thousands of miles from home sucks.

A hidden winch mount and some good skids will get through the bad stuff, and will maintain your aerodynamics for noise/MPG.

So what's my alternative rear lift for all the weight?

So full skids and a hidden winch would be sufficient you think? The front skeleton bumper was only 100lbs ... would it really be that bad on the mpgs for trips?

It's not the weight, it's the aerodynamics. Look at all the serious expo vehicles, you won't find many with open wheel wells.

Great for technical wheeling, bad for everything else.

Both if those are full leaf packs that will replace your factory leaf springs. The expos are built specifically for carrying a lot of extra weight. The dakars are more suited for moderate weight but there is an optional extra leaf that can be added to the pack if needed.
