Installing my new led's... the back of our headlight housing has a rubber molded gasket to protect the headlight, if I install that back on over the led it covers the fan assembly to the led... do I cut a chunk out of the black gasket or do I leave the fan covered up in the gasket??? I'm afraid if I cut a hole in the gasket the fan will tank in water and sacrifice the integrity/life of the led???

If it were me I wouldn't cover up the fan, I'd leave it exposed and hope for the best. If all else fails, go back to the OEM setup.

Installed Overhead Compass and Temperature Display along with outside temperature sensor and wiring; LED lights reverse backup; LED license plate lights; Added GTA Bluetooth Audio kit to stock radio for iphone audio; Spare tire steel braided air hose extension connection to rear bumper; Installed new headlights along with new bulbs PIAA H4 XTreme and for fog lights PIAA H10 XTreme bulbs. Installed new hood with "hood-scoop". Installed Predator Side Steps. Replaced front chrome grill with customized color matched (Desert Sand Mica) grill with added TOYOTA lettering (also in matched color), installed and secured tailgate anti-theft devices. Also installed a new external TPMS monitor for all 4 tires.
Just my $0.02 here on this.

If you start to cut into the black rubber like gasket you are only asking for problems with internal moisture inside the headlight lens to start happening.

That black rubber like gasket is there for a reason, to seal up tightly, the opening section where one can have access to replacing the main headlight bulbs. If it is compromised in any way shape or form this leads to moisture inside the headlight lens.

    Your call.

The collar on the led came off and so installed the collar first then the full non cut rubber gasket, then installed led ... nice tight seal with no leaks :) just took a little patience and ingenuity! Hopefully this will help others with their install!
... my wife was the patience part ;) I have a keeper lol

By the way what brand, type, size, manufacturer, etc. are those particular LED headlights did you install?

Just looked at the website, didn't find anything related to LED headlights, even typed in their search section and came up with "nothing found"?

Just provide a picture of the box kit that your LED's came in?

The reason they are not listed is because I'm using them as a trial pair for him, contact him and see if he plans on releasing them soon... @CaliRaisedLed ... it's a phenomenal kit, I think part of the reason people don't like them is because they don't know how to install them correctly and or adjust them, but the have plenty of adjustment and just take patience for install (a lot of people cut the rubber gasket, when they don't need to, which creates issues with the condensation seal on the back of the housing!) ... highly recommend his kits!

It maybe hard to tell since it is still daylight over where your at but from what you can tell is the light scattered out all over the place or does it shoot out directly-straight out on to the road?

There is a difference on this.

Some LED's just are not made to be compatiable with the regular OEM headlight housing to produce a good light output compared to a regular headlight bulb. In other words it scatters the light that is produced rather that just put out a normal beam of light output. The scattering of a LED output can cause oncoming drivers to start to flash their headlights at you, thinking that you have your high beams on.

There are post about this particular subject.

At complete night fall check it out see how they really are?

Hopefully they'll produce a normal beam of output light.
