Should I make it a habit to use 4 low when launching & retrieving a 17' bay boat with my 2015 TRD Sport V6?

I don't even use 4 high unless I need the traction because the ramp is icy or it is steep unimproved cobble.

In a straight line it can't hurt

I wouldn't think it is necessary unless you find yourself really struggling to pull it out of the water.
Wouldn't be bad unless you were turning on pavement in 4L.

I pull a 3200 lb 18' Ranger 375v and rarely ever spun a tire with 2009 Prerunner or current truck on numerous ramps. Never put it in 4wd on a ramp.

If you lose traction OP , don't hesitate to use 4WD , it won't hurt anything

I would use 4 hi instead if extra traction was needed. Rarely do I find it necessary unless low tide on a slick ramp.

I use 4-hi. I like more tires locked when in park. If I need it then there is no waiting. I have a 19' aluminum Lund and have no problems.

I have done that- use of 4 low can be good for control, so you can ease out of the water and make sure the boat settles into place. Personal preference.

Depends on the launch and the launch conditions but if you need 4wd low to get out then I think the launch is in need of some help.

    Don't need 4wd on a launch.

I always use 4lo on retrieval.

I know my ramps real well, your situation may vary from mine.
