Well, you will have trouble finding a set of the KMs. At least a set together. You will probably find a tire here and there and put a set together. Unless, you get a set of Jeep Rubicon takeoffs. Their tread is slightly different than the original KM. As for the KM2s, they are great and much better than KMs. They are quieter, wear better and seem to be lasting much longer. They just look very narrow compared to KOs. And the KM2s price has gone up 10% since last year.

I have been running KM2s since last summer and this week I bought a set of Nitto Terra Grapplers to run as DD and save the KM2s for trips and vacations because they cost so much to replace and they wear faster than ATs.

be a leader, not a follower.

    safe follower choice - KM2 "D" rated
hardcore leader choice - Trail Grappler "E" rated

Mine are 265/75R16 E Rated. New the tread depth is 18/32nd. I am at 14 -16/32nds at 15,000 miles. So, mathematically they should go past 45,000 but I think the wear rate will increase as they wear. They are lasting longer than I thought they would so far.

Heads up!!! - I rotate and rebalance the every 4,000 miles because they need it!!!!

I'd go with the KM2's personally. I have had the KM's and the KM2's and vote for the KM2's, they are a lot quieter and do seem cheaper than last year. They do last for quite a while also. Each to their own though.
