Just wanted to share what I learned knocking out some much needed maintenance.

Biggest issue fixed was a faulty bypass on the TRD SC. Symptoms were inconsistent boost (anything from 2.5-5in-hg) and a jumpy/rough throttle when changing gears or even in low load/rpm situations.

After replacing the truck ran MUCH better. Especially shifts. And the boost shot right up to ~5.5 and stayed. If you're rockin the TRD system and not getting consistent boost and some weird throttle behavior, you may want to have a look at the bypass.

    Oil change
    - 5qts synthetic Mobil 1, new filter
    Plugs
    - 6x Denso IKH22 iridium plugs
Serpentine belt and all pullies replaced
-primary serpentine belt: Gates PN K070834
    -idlers pullies: Gates 36174 x1, Gates 36173 x2
    -tensioner pulley assembly: Gates 38411
    SC drive belt replaced
    -Gates K050705
SC bypass replaced (was about $170 after shipping)
-Magnuson PN 45-00-13-112 (this was what the recommended for my '06 TRD SC system)

    Belts went on without issue.

Plugs were very worn after just 40k. Maybe from the faulty bypass valve?

Bypass was easy once the SC was off. Direct swap with the original; just needed to adjust the stop. Original one had a very 'notchy' feel to it when you pushed the actuator in/out.

    OLD bypass:

neb, nice work and photos, plugs are recommended to change every 30,000 so your plugs look normal.

Yeah I've got the innovate MTX-L; the sensor has been bad for a good while though. New one is inbound. When it was working, it leveled out normal. But it jumped all over for shifts. I watched the stock sensors through OBD2 and they seemed steady, so I figured it was normal.

Yeah usually I grab 6 qts and usually end up with some left, but it was mid on the range after 5 so I stopped there. I'll keep an eye on it though.

And yep, that's the supergrip. Added that pretty quick after the blower went on.
