Does anyone have a measurement on the centre pin of Dakars? I'm installing a set of D29XLs, kinda thinking my centre pin might be a little bit of a bitch (corrosion)

Maybe this has been answered in the 500 and some odd pages here, but I'm looking at getting bilstein 4600 shocks and 884 OME coils. (1.5-1.75" lift) will these 4600 shocks work with 884's?

OME shocks are crazy expensive here in Canada. I can get all 4 Billy's for $450 Canadian. OME 884's for $223 (for 2)

Really?? OuiPack in QUE sold me my full set for a very comparable price to USDM. I think it was around $1600, with Dakars shipped.

533 pages , no way will I be able to read it all and catch up.

    soooooooo....

    *****************
I have a 15 DCLB Taco and am looking to go OME for ride quality and comfort (not much off roading)

    thinking HeadstrongOffRoad.com

    - OME 887x Coils (no extra weight/dont plan on adding anything)
    - OME 90021 Soft Ride Struts
    - OME trim packer for drivers side lean
    - OME 60091 Nitrocharger sport rear shocks
    - OME carrier bearing drop bracket
    - OME Dakar full leaf pack replacement
    - Bushings and sleeves for shackle side (bushing for fixed end are already included on leaf pack)
    - Extended length u-bolts for use with leaf pack

I am planning on putting on 285/70/17 Duratracs

Am I ok with what I have spelled out above.

Thanks in advance guys. Looking to pull the trigger and order the suspension components tomorrow morning.

Yep. You might have to CMC and remove mudflaps to eliminate rubbing though.

Cab mount chop - Method to remedy a common spot for rubbing when at full stuff.

Wheel selection, size and offset, will have a large role in where and what you will rub on if/when off-roading.

I ran 887s and only rubbed on the mud flaps before I started adding weight upfront.

Am I missing something? I didn't install my OME kit. I've had a crazy annoying constant squeak coming from the front of my truck lately while driving, doesn't matter if I'm going 5mph or 70mph.

Also when it comes to the bushing that you need for the Dakars, after you grease them once upon install, do you ever really need to grease them again? I'm just curious because I didn't install mine and another local shop looked at them and said they were installed dry. Would this mean that they were never greased in the first place?

Something is up there. Looks like you are missing the rubber bushing on the top plate in the bottom pic.

That's what I thought, I didn't install those on my truck, could that be causing any squeaking though or no? I guess they've been like that for almost a year and recently I started to hear an annoying constant squeak on my truck from the front

It's kind of hard to tell since the angle of the pictures isn't the same, but on the bottom one also it looks like the bolt isn't centered. If you don't have the rubber bushing on that side it is a major issue and needs to be fixed asap.

It should go from the top, Nut-Washer-Bushing-top hat.

Edit: And yes, that could very well be causing the squeaking.
