wondering if anyone has ideas on finding a new tailgate? i gouged the shit out of my tailgate and can't stand looking at it. i asked the dealer but they said they couldn't get one that was painted (black). if i can find one off a wrecked tacoma i guess the key wouldn't work? that's not the end of the world but i could get a top at some point. what would you do? where to look?

Body shops can work miracles these days.

My dad forgot to latch the hitch on the trailer 5 days after he got his new 2014 Ram 2500 Laramie Longhorn. Double tapped the tailgate as he was loading the tractor. Body shop made that bitch look like the day he brought it home.

You can swap the handles/tumblers so you can use your key

Can you kindly share a picture of your truck's tailgate in question OP?
I'd like to see the damage to your tailgate? Is it from constant use like a truck?

There was a thread on her the other day about some place in Texas that had some tailgate thieves, from the video they looked fairly efficient at removing them. After they are done dealing with the current legal situation I bet they would help you out.

Sorry to hear about your gate, nothing like a new truck with a yucky wound
