Stopped by Georgetown yesterday to grab some pics of the train. I might have to do a couple prints of these:

Me too. Getting pictures of the old coal (converted to steam now) engines has been on my bucket list for YEARS. I got done with shooting a pile of pics of big horn sheep there, and while I was grabbing lunch in Georgetown, I checked the train schedule online. After confirming it was one of the engines I like (I'm not into the diesel engine(s)), I began train chasing between the two towns.

No. Hoping to wrap up the welding this week. My buddy's schedule hasn't been jiving with mine lately, but this week it's on.

The interior is lit as well, but I have no pics of it. I could geek out on this for days.

My old man told me once... at first just try bashing it in. If that doesn't work, then use finesse.

That's awesome. I remember, several years ago now, digging into the background of a huge model built of Clear Creek Canyon and the line which ran through it back in the day... and how the model was removed from a mobile showroom/trailer and placed into a museum somewhere. It was neat to read about it and the extraordinary lengths the enthusiasts went to in order to preserve it.

 

How that layout started out.

A scene from my "N" scale layout. The cabin was scratch built from toothpicks. The shingles were also hand made.

 

Unfortunately, both of those layouts are gone.
But I still have the models.
