Does the temp change while driving? While stopped? Lowers when driving, rises when stopped?

Might be an air pocket in the cooling system.

    Which one?

If it goes down while driving and up when stopped, check your coolant level.

    ^^This.

Try gently squeezing the upper radiator hose while it is idling (like a heartbeat). Wouldn't hurt to run the heater on full blast too (would help purge the heater core/and supply lines)
