I have TREDS 1100's and I just have them pinned against the front of the bed with my "box-o-truck-stuff"(tm) and I could use a better solution. I'm considering mounting them to the inside top of my shell so they are out of the way and not as tempting to steal.

Sorry, no use to you, but I'm interested in ideas.

My thought for you is that something like this might work as a starting point: http://www.relentlessfabrication.com/products/05-tacoma-bed-rail-single-quick-fist-mount

Since you have a 2nd gen, you have the front rail. Us 3rd gen folks have to buy one: https://www.amazon.com/Genuine-Toyo...id=1476169515&sr=8-1&keywords=tacoma+bed+rail

Shok Industries 2/0 big 4 upgrade and sound deadener.
Buy some t-slot nuts from the hardware store, order the $25 hardware from a vendor, get some hi-lift mounts or use carriage bolts inside of some aluminum stock cut to fit in the rails.

If you do the carriage bolts just drop a washer and lock nut onto the threads to secure it and then bolt them on. That'll be your cheapest but probably most time consuming choice.

You can also buy the Tred mounts from them but you still have the predicament of how to mount them to the bed rails. I'm probably going to do the carriage bolt or t-slot method.
