    None...yet
I've got the full Entune and it does the same. Kind of annoying.

I can't get the app on my phone to connect to my Entune either. It says the same thing; that my vehicle is not equipped with the entune app.

I'm looking at the window paper and under Standard Equipment, it says Entune Audio Plus w/ Connctd Nav App.

I don't have Nav, I just have traffic and weather.

Does my version of Entune not have the capabilities to hook up to an iPhone App? My salesperson told me I could.

How exactly would I do this? I have it setup, and get turn-by-turn on my head unit but it doesn't actually give me a moving map where I can see my vehicle. Is there something I'm missing?

Yeah, sadly you are not missing anything, is a very limited and frustrating navigation/directions system, My I phone directions works way better.
This app have a great potential,I can see this app working flawless, but if Toyota makes it better, then they will not have an excuse to overcharge for built in navigation systems on the upper models or packages.

Look for Scout GPS link on your phone app store.

Has anyone used both the Scout GPS app and the Toyota nav? How do they compare? I have a TRD with the nav and it's pretty bad. If my wife is with me, we often just use Google Maps on her phone and she gives me directions, or we send the navigation prompts to the head unit with Bluetooth, but of course that doesn't mirror the Google map on the dash screen. The Toyota nav often gives wrong or ambiguous directions ("proceed to the designated route"), has a poor library of POI's; the maps aren't great either.

I've found the Toyota/entune navi that comes with off road is right on.

The Scout GPS is terrible! To all the people trying to install it, don't bother. It couldn't find a street I was driving on in downtown Houston. It doesn't even give good directions. When I bought it, I tried using it to get me to work in downtown Houston and it wanted me to take some random exit, and then get back on I-10. I used it that afternoon to take me back to the dealer, who is located on I-10 in Katy and I was on I-10, and it kept trying to get me onto I-45. I haven't used it since. I just connect the phone by bluetooth and use Google maps to tell me where to go.

On top of that if you get in to a place with poor cellphone reception the app will crash and will not work at all.

I do not have Navigation. I have the very basic Entune radio with Audio, Traffic, and Weather.

Is Scout GPS for navigation? If so, this app is pointless for me. I just need Entune because my salesperson said I have capabilities to read text that come in through my phone and it'll show up on the dash.

I feel your frustration, Sales persons are not clear when they explain how the radio/entune works.
Text got nothing to do with the nav app, text is part radio system /entune. My understanding is that the entune suite app is just for upper trim or packages, Mine have the entune plus not the premium, so the entune app does not work with my system. One day I was playing around and saw the option to link my messages in to my dash but I just not use it, is there you just need to turn it on, play around your system settings and bluetooth or look in to the owners manual, or just go back to the dealer and ask your sales guy to show how to use the system.

I might get lil bit of topic, but when I walked in to the dealer I ask the salesman for a truck that has same options than my 09 TRD off road and the Sr5 had more than what I expected , except that did not have the rear diff locker that I only used 3 times in the almost 5 years I used my old tacoma so for me the SR5 with appearance package was the perfect ratio between cost/options/needs.
Off course a TRD OR was in the back of the mind but just the for what I really need my truck there is no need to pay more.
