But - thankfully my being in the glass business has its benefits.. We don't do auto glass but I have a guy that does and he's got me covered.. Ins. covers it 100% with no deductible and he'll have it fixed today - pretty good since I didn't call until today

That's a nice stress reliever by itself.

Likely won't be online much this week though - gotta lot of work to day and no internet at home

And for those that don't know - even though our back windows are a 3 piece glass - the entire unit has to be replace, frame and all, if gets broken.

Glad to hear that is all that really happened. Hope yall get power back soon! Do you like having a solid back glass? I like the look of that better than the three piece

Me too.. After I was online that morning - the wind behind the eye picked up and it got worse.. Rain eased but everything kinda went to shit.. Power went out, trees all over the neighborhood fell on cars, power lines, roads, you name it.. We actually took a hard it around here. There's roads still blocked off with power lines down and a mess.. Still thinking positive though that power will return today

That back wind is awful.
That paired with ultra saturated ground makes for an unsafe environment.

Exactly..
We got some flooding too - but nothing near our house.. No one was washed away with surge but some definitely got water damage.
All in all its all 'ok' just a little expensive and most of all an inconvenience.
I want my hot shower at night and daily routine back.. My daughter even misses school and normal life

I grab some bread twist ties off the counter to throw away - one falls - goes into the sink - damn if I don't watch it go straight down the drain

So then I'm pulling the pee trap to get it out before it clogs - easy but was like "oh come on man WTF"

I've got no real complaints...the linemen and tree guys are busting ass out here.
