I have the OEM all-weather floor mats and I've noticed everytime I have a passenger in my truck, the passenger side floor mat slides up about 4 or 5 inches, leaving the carpet flooring exposed and thus getting dirty.

I've tried "googling" some ideas but haven't had much luck. Anyone else experience this small but annoying issue? Anyone have any ideas on how to prevent this from happening?

I already know that the Husky and Weathertech mats would be a solution because of their molded design, but I'm hoping for a simple solution that involves using the mats I have.

Really though, I noticed the same problem from day one, would love to hear others solutions but I'm likely going with huskys as my solution!

Mats in my wife's Prius slide everywhere too. Planning on going Husky because the carpet mats just keep looking worse and worse. I've got Huskys in my truck and they fit great.

Better option and keeps the water resistance.

Tried that rubber stuff they make to line kitchen shelves with? They also sell it to put under rugs on wood floors. I have the same mats but haven't had a problem with them moving. Tell the jokers on the passenger side to quit squirming. Or slow down so they don't have to use the passenger side imaginary brake pedal. :D

I actually have some of the kitchen cabinet liner stuff under the mat right now, but it hasn't helped. My speeding may very well be the issue, haha.

My passenger weathertech moves too. A velcro solution may work or you may have to lift the carpet up to install some pins similar to the drivers side.

My problem doesnt bother me too much.

My WeatherTechs in the T4R & Camry don't move...

Thought about velcro at least on the back of the mat?

Velcro sounds promising. I'll have to give that a try. If all else fails and it bothers me enough, I may just break down and spend some pennies on some Husky mats and be done with it, haha.

I have the all weather ones also...my passenger ones slide everywhere too...WHY couldn't Toyota just make them like the drivers side ones with the little toggle thingys? I had the carpeted ones in my 2Gen taco and those slide everywhere also

FYI. It is not easy to adhere velcro to rubber. The peel and stick Velcro comes off easily and even if you gorilla glue the Velcro, the Velcro comes off the mat in a day (been there, done that).

A weatherstrip adhesive may be a better alternative for adhering velcro to the bottom of the passenger mat, but I may try the husky mats.

this also really annoys me a lot.
    gonna try velcro.

first i'll get 2-4 velcro strips,
then dremmel the bottom of the mat where i'm gonna put the velcro at kinds smoother but still leave a little texture so i can use a stranger adjective the just what's on the velcro.
may just use the hook side of the hook and loop (the rough side)

I had the Toyota mats at first and the passenger side slid all over so I bought the husky x act mats and the passenger still slides up. The husky mats come with a carpet retention screw to hold it down but I'm not sure that I want to put a hole in my carpet.

    Nothing yet....im a poor bastard.
I stuck a piece of industrial velcro to the bottom of my weathertech mat. Dont think it has moved since. But I also dont get to drive my truck daily (company Colorado)(whole other story there). Ill check today. Going to the State Fair. The only foreseeable problem is when i take the mat out to clean it, the velcro may stick to the carpet too well and come off the mat.

Having the same issue with the Toyota rubber mats. Have tried velcro as well as using Gorilla glue to make the velcro stick to the mat. I even tried spray on rubber glue to keep the velcro in place. Nothing works so far.

Back to the drawing board. I'll update if I come up with something that works.
