Hi all, just a little intro of myself: for the last 16 yrs, have not owned any Toyota, but now with retirement approaching, thinking of downsizing from 350ci, 4x4, Chevy 1/2 ton and 5.3l, 4x4 Tahoe and getting into a tacoma.

My very 1st vehicle was a 1974 Corolla, the cheapest, most basic model one could buy for $1500, new. I was in college, living @ home, and payments and insurance rates were affordable. Next was a '74 Celica, very nice car, fun to drive. Next a '80 Corolla station wagon, and finally a '92 4x2 pickup truck. I really liked this truck, and I regret to this day selling it. All were M/T, and all the clutch pedals squeeked. The '74 Corolla sounded like the body was made out of tin cans and it had no hydraulic clutch....All of them, except the pickup, rusted out if you looked at them the wrong way, and no matter the care I gave it, all the paint eventually faded and oxidized. However, all of them were deadnuts reliable!!!!!!

Looking forward to learning from all of you.
