That front bumper is aluminum? Winch any with it? Strong all the way out to the end of the wings?

Our Aluminum bumpers have been tested while winching another fully built Tacoma and we found no flex or any issues whatsoever! :) It's a solid build! Check our Instagram page for a video (25 weeks ago "picture # 129 starting at the top & going down)

It's kind of an art to get it aligned right, loosening the four main nuts at the frame and adjusting the height, then tightening as you get it more aligned. You may also have to space out some of the holes with washers on the back side of those four bolts.

Dunno what the issue is with the swaybar brackets, I believe mine lined up just fine. Make sure there's nothing catching the corner where the gusset sits in the corner of the frame to stop it from seating correctly.

thanks I'm going to have to take it all off when I get the winch. I plan on doing a full write up , but how many washers are you using if any.

Also what small custom alterations did you make to make it fit like you wanted?

That was for the rear bumper, had to grind out the "half hole" a little bit at the top of the frame mount

IMG_2351.jpg I couldn't ever get the sway brackets too align. It was about 1/4 inch off, the weld on the bottom of the frame looked to be the issue. So I ended up milling out the part I need on the bracket instead of grinding on my truck IMG_2349.jpgIMG_2350.jpg

Mine took some grumbling and messing around to line everything up but mine were not off by as much as yours look. Interesting. Might be a unique truck issue, as we know, our trucks have a ton of little differences even between model years and sub models.

Yeah mine seems to be different in a lot of ways. Pretty much everything that I buy bolt on doesn't seem to be bolt on. Not bashing on the company I love the bumper and this has nothing to do with there product.

Noticed the rear bumper has its own receiver hitch hidden behind the tag....my TRD Sport already has the hitch under the current bumper. If I swap these out will it have to go and just run off the bumper?

That is correct, the integrated hitch replaces the factory hitch. The reason is the huge amount of extra clearance gained by moving the hitch up and out of the way

As Tyler said, yes, the integrated hitch replaces the stock hitch.

Also as a side note, the trailer pin connection is supposed to sit behind the bumper and the actual "door" on a hinge of the connection is the only thing sticking out. I had installed it incorrectly when I took the above picture.

What rear lights did you end up putting in there? Are those the recommended Baja designs or no?

    Rigid SR-M flushmount kit.

I got these before Pelfrey went to the Baja Designs primarily.

Makes sense. Do you know of any other brands that would fit the mounting of these lights by chance? Looking for something more economical.
