    I'm sure you could have the disconnects added later on down the road if it was something you really wanted. That is really convenient though for sure

    -Front mounts to the bed cage, rear to the bed bolts. Nothing bolts to the bed rails or anywhere else.
    -Tabs for area lights on all 4 corners. And dust lights
    -Remove-able awning mounts on both sides.
    -Shelf over the spare tire to fit small action packers with tie downs
    -Lightweight design, weighs about the same as BAMF's low pro racks
    -RotoPax mounts on both sides

    No it is not. It is not cost effective to mass produce. I believe only 3 were ever made.

    Question about bed racks and weight. I've seen a few comments about how our bedsides aren't meant to hold the weight of racks + RTT's. Because of this a few fabs will mount their racks directly into the bed. But I don't think I've ever seen anybody actually experience any damage from this. I know people claim that their bedsides will flare out a bit (a lot?), but does this actually cause damage?

    Just trying to figure out my needs for a future bedrack.

    While wheeling I will have less than 200lbs on the rack - not counting the weight of the rack itself. Of course while sleeping up there with 2+ people, it gets a lot heavier, but I'm guessing static weight isn't anything to worry about.

    Any advice or personal experience??

    Question to anyone:

    Curious, does any manufacturer offer a bed rack that a Fiberglas / compost camper top can fit over? Overkill? Probably, but looking for a double duty setup. Would most likely have to be a rack that is mounted directly to the bed and not the top rails of the box.

    This is what I am looking for at the moment.

    It's funny because I was thinking the same thing last night. How strong are the box rails of the composite box really? IT could be easy to have 600+ lbs resting on them (while sleeping). I'm interested to know what the responses are to your question.

    If the bed sides moved out, it would be because the legs of the rack flared out. I don't know about other racks, but ours is designed so that the legs can't flare out. All of the pressure is exerted straight down.

    I know our plastic bed rail caps are junk, and prone to getting crushed, but I'm not overly concerned about that. I'm more concerned with any long term structural damage to the actual bed, mainly from wheeling with weight.

    Okay, I guess that makes sense. A friend and I were talking the other day about that, and considering that bed bars actually connect one bedside to the other, I couldn't imagine how they would flare. If anything I would think that bed bars, etc., would make the bedsides even stronger. But I suppose metal does tend to bend....

    Can you describe what your rack does to prevent that?
