Unfortunately there's another small tree between me and them, so video and even pictures are largely worthless.

I neglected to mention that a hammer was being used in affixing said chain. And it got better. They made a pull of some kind, but I didn't hear anything so there must not have been a lot of oomph to it. Then they brought in a steel winch cable (I guess the truck has a 'hidden' winch? It certainly looked like they were spooling it up when done.) from 90 degrees to the first pull, hooked it up, laid it over a large section of trunk laying at a 45 degree angle to that. I couldn't see their entire rigging setup, and I'm guessing there must have been a snatch block or something to anchor the line at 90... which didn't work well. Rather than winching in, they backed the truck up. Hard. Cable dragged across the trunk trying to become a straight line between trunk and truck, and a large piece of wood or bark went flying back at the truck (which appears to be a pretty shiny new Ram) - but missed by about a foot.

The must have dug out or cut the main roots, because the whole operation seems to have done what they wanted and they've made more noise dragging pieces up onto a trailer (again using the truck) than they did with the stump. Ah well, back to work.

I think it's "You don't screw the San Diego Chargers, The San Diego Chargers screw themselves"

Really? I'd think it'd be a tie, since Denver hasn't loss a divisional game yet.

    What's your college team?

I enjoy college ball in general a lot more than NFL, though. Probs because I'm a Titans fan...

Some Raider fans probably threatened to kill someone at the next game if they didn't put them at the top of the standings

Don't worry, I don't chat much about football. Just lurk the NCAA Football thread and whatever Broncos BS unfolds in here every week.

I too lurk the NCAA thread, but seeing it's mostly UGA or Bama fans I don't venture in there.
