    Hey all,

After two years I am finally getting around to wiring the turn signals on my ProEFX towing mirrors. I followed the directions as noted for a 2009 but for some reason when I connect the wiring and test only a few of the LEDs turn on dimly, blink a few times, and then just sort of whimper away. They don't come back on unless I leave them disconnected for a few minutes and then reconnect.

I'm not sure if it is a ground issue, power issue, or an issue with the mirror itself. I've only tried the driver side so far as I do not want to run all the wiring for the passenger side yet.

I'll have pictures tomorrow but the ground point is a bolt on the door that matches the pictures in the instructions and the red/white power wire is connected to the yellow wire on the wiring harness that matches the picture and when tested with a multimeter, shows 12v when it flashes.

To test the LEDs on the mirror itself, can I use a 12v battery and just hook up hot and ground or will that just fry everything? I'm not the best electrician in the world but I do have some clue what I am doing.

    Thanks!
