    My name is Beau,
I recently purchased a 1999 Tacoma V6 Prerunner. Before, I had a 98 4x4 Tahoe for 16 years. Lately I've been finishing up my degree at USF, and it's quite the drive there and back. Hence, the Tahoe wasn't cutting it, especially when getting around 12mpg. My neighbor, whom has been the sole owner since 99', decided to sell the Tacoma. For $3,500, with 85k miles, and with only the clear coat fading I couldn't resist buying it from him. In turn, I've been on this site for the past two weeks researching things. I am so used to having a totally different ignition system with the Chevrolet. The topics on this site taught me the many differences, which I'll use towards tuning the truck up. With that, thanks for the great information.
Just had to introduce myself. So far, I love the truck. I wish it was a 4x4, but right now my education is important. I estimated my mpg, and I'm getting 19-20mpg average. I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions in the future regarding Toyota info! Thanks! IMG_1306.jpg

Welcome Beau! Very nice 99 you have there. I once sported those exact same Enkei wheels you have, but yours look much better!

^ "Enkei wheels?" These are stock wheels correct? I have so much I'd like to do with the Tacoma, but I have to wait. Paint, new wheels, maybe headlights, etc..

Yeah, those are Enkei brand wheels/rims you currently sport. Same ones came with my 97 Tacoma purchased in 2005, and I was told they came stock with 2-3 years of certain Tacomas in the late 90's from factory or factory option. Whether or not that's true, I don't know for sure......maybe another member can confirm. Just a surprise to see those after so long. Your truck has a lot of potential!
