I live out in Madison County but I work in Athens. I love checking out other tacomas and getting ideas for mine.

I've been spotting a lot of Taco's on 129 and 53 lately in Clarke, Jackson, and Hall counties, but none of them are in this thread.

I got a Taco wave the other day. I could not wave back due to turning and shifting at the same time. So I nodded. I thought it was someone on here.

So haven't been on here as much as I should've lately but I've noticed allot too. We should definitely have some sort of meet up sometime. I just added a bumper and sliders in Feb so I'm looking a little different now lol.

Can anybody recommend a good local sandblasting and powder coating place? I got an Avid Off-road bumper guard on a groupbuy. I bolted it up to see how it looked, and life hasn't. No so busy I never took it off. Now it has a nice coat of rust. It's #1 on my list this Summer.

Also: any of you guys see the ridiculously low-priced UCA group buy going on? I am very tempted to bite.

I agree. It's been impossible for anyone to get something Georgia-wide going, but I think we could do something low-key and local. I live in town and have a nice fire pit/camp spot down by the creek in our yard.
I've also recommended in the Georgia Taco thread to do a weekend camp out and kayak run up at Broad River Outpost. Unfortunately, after two years of suggestions, there's never any consensus. Everyone is spread out too far and too busy.

I saw a place going into Statham the other day off Atl Hwy but I'm not sure the name of it. I got mine bare metal and used POR15 as a basecoat then a product called Monstaliner as the finish. It is some pretty tough stuff.

I think local could be pretty easy. We got quite a few places outside here to go camping. We usually go all the time but haven't gotten to much this year mainly due to work.

MadDaddy are you liking your FN rims? I have been eyeballing those in silver or black for sometime. Simple and light.

Not crazy extravagant like these Jeeps in Athens with 20" rims. They make me laugh.

I do like them. I've suffered one small scratch from who knows what on the road, but they're solid wheels. They look good even when they're dirty, as the bronze hides a lot.
