I have a 2005 Tacoma TRD Sport DCLB with 2" blocks in the back. Everything was fine and dandy until I took my truck to the dealer to get the new leafs due to the TSB. They gave me my blocks in a box saying that they are not allowed to install after market parts. The dealer replaced the rear with brand new parts. They replaced the leaf packs, u-bolts, & plates. They left my after market shocks in there which were pretty much bottomed out without the blocks. I put the blocks back in and it seems that the new leafs are thicker and take up more space.

Prior to the TSB I had 8" u-bolts in there with a few threads of the bolt sticking out passed the nut. Now I can somewhat stick my pinky into the nut because the bolt does not come all the way out. The 8" u-bolts are currently installed but I don't feel like there is enough extra length in there for "what ifs". I need 9" u-bolts to hold everything in there. Anyone know of a shop or person in or near Los Angeles that I can get some u-bolts. The only place I can think of is 4 wheel parts but I'd rather go else where for personal reasons.

A u-bolt flip kit would work too. Might as well upgrade now since I need new u-bolts anyway. :)

I sourced some from a local NAPA. Just pop one of the u-bolts off and take it in if you can. They'll have a rack of them sorted by dimensions not application, so they should easily find some that'll work for you. Granted I think I think they were running $12-15/u-bolt.

Thanks for the heads up. I had completely forgot that there is a NAPA close by to me.
