Tahoe Help

Hello. Fairly need to the TW forums as I just got my first Tacoma a couple months ago. Loving the truck so far as it has been perfect for me in every way. Now I am ready to start slowly fully breaking it in by taking it off road.

In fact I am looking to break it in off road and mix it up with a bit of a hike on the end if that's possible. I was wondering if anyone with knowledge of the Tahoe area new of any hikes around the south shore area that you can do after you have done a little off-road driving first? My girlfriend and I are going to South shore the weekend of Oct 22 and weather looks like it will be perfect so want to get out and enjoy both of my passions.

I have off roaded to the top of Genoa Peak a few times which is the peaks behind Zephyr cove, but I am not sure if there is any designated hiking trail off that drive I can do? Anyone have anything I can look up online in the way of maps and such would be perfect? Does the Tahoe rim trail cross the Genoa Peak road in multiple spots?

Anyway just thinking out load as I am open to anything in the area, the Genoa peak trail is the only off road trail I am familiar with in the area. Thanks in advance for any info or suggestions.
