    What's up guys,

I registered a while back and never got around to doing a new member post so here I am. Anyways, I recently acquired a 1995.5 Tacoma 5vz/manual/4wd from my aunt who has been abusing the thing for the past 8 or so years. The odometer broke while she had it at 299,999 (the trip od worked which was weird, all mechanical not electrical) and that was 5 or so years ago, and she averaged 500 miles a week for work.. So I'm thinking it easily has 400k on the ticker..
Heres a picture of the Taco (The shell is not for this):IMG_6231.jpg

I plan to keep this one pretty tame and make it suitable for ski trips to Colorado and some national forest roads. What I have in mind is: camper shell, tame OME lift, ARB w/ warn, 31 k02s, and definitely tossing the 60/40 bench seat for a suitable upgrade via the pick and pull yard!I put a set of 3-series bmw seats in my 60 series and they are awesome! Has anyone made those work? I took care of some preliminary maintenance right off the bat: TB/WP, lca bushings (going to get the complete arms next time), rack and pinion bushings, rack and pinion dust boots and a few other things. I work at the Toyota Dealership part time so this old girl gets all OEM parts :)

Maybe one day after college this one can turn into a SAS monster on 35s, but for now it needs to be my trusty DD. I do have a set of built FJ60 axles that I took off of my 60 recently since I am doing an FZJ-80 frame swap with locked axles. I think i'd find another set of 80 axles though since I really dislike drum breaks and semi float rear ends.. Here's a picture of my 60 while at the summit in CO:

The 60 started on 31s when I got the keys at 16 and quickly became a never ending learning experience. I learned to weld and did a SOA conversion in our barn all in the same year, it was ugly but it's still holding lol!
So my reasoning behind keeping the Taco on 31s is I already have a capable rig on big meats, and I really want a rig that I can go on quick 4 day camping trips in CO and be able to set the cruise control at 85 mph and go as opposed to going in the slow lane at 65 mph the whole way. If I could go 33s without re-gearing i'd do it, but I don't see that being a possibility..

Well, that was a rather long introduction, but I am glad to finally own a taco and look foreword to learning new stuff about these rigs on this site!
