    The 3M liners are a nice touch. Had no problem installing them.

    Just installed mine today over the bottom portion. Perfect fit snug with no rattle or noise. Liners fit well. Also left excellent feedback. Took 4 days from order to delivery.

    The material is 3M Bumpon (same as the stick on bumpers on cabinet doors). Here it is on Amazon so you can get the specs and shop from there.

    I have a Gen2 and keep my change in the ash tray left of the steering wheel. Did they get rid of that in Gen3?

    I would hate to lift out the console tray with change in it and bump something and dump it between the seats.

    I do like the thread you posted. It's great seeing new ideas get started and tuned up with good feedback.

    if your referring to the cubbie area to the left of the steering wheel, they are still present on the 3rd gens, although I think they are a different size and its just an open box. Not ideal for holding onto change.

    Mine came today and I put it in the center console. Perfect fit! This is an ingenious product! It seriously makes the center console usable.

    Yep, it's a useless open box. I think it's only real value will come from somebody who designs a switch panel to drop in.
