Plates are nice, but I like the lightness of a tube. Plus, I really like the look of tube bumpers.

But yes definitely better than stock. I dig stock, but its performance just doesn't compete.

True. I might just wait after the retrofit.

Changed the transfer case oil, and tightened up the clamps on the inner cv boots. I hope this stops them from slinging grease. The boot does not move on the shaft now. Like it did before.

For tcase and tranny i used 4 quarts with very little to spare.

I haven't been able to drive it that much yet, but it shifts "slightly" better. But maybe it just needs to work in more.

If someone had done the fluid change on my truck and did not tell me I dont think I would have noticed a change. But it was up for a fluid change.

Mine was unchanged but it made me feel better knowing it was changed once and because I get internet cool guy points for using fancy oil.

The day I picked it up (35 days ago)and the day i brought it home from work after a jdm swap (today). Picked it up "as is" at about what youd expect to pay and had to drive home a little over 125 miles. parked it and the next morning had a lower end knock. drove it 2 weeks like a little old lady as the knock got worse and slapped a jdm in it this week. If you look carefully you can see whats left of the original usdm engine in the bed in the second pic

First post here, long time lurker: Lifted my '01 2.7 4x4 based on everything i read here, so thanks for everyones input! Also used some of the useful feedback on tire/wheel configs. It is a bit of a hybrid config: 881s, rough country struts, 10mm spacer, 1.5" progressive AAL from Wheelers. 265/75r16 level 8 trackers and Falken Wildpeak At3s. Did the tie rod ends and got an alignment and it is like a new truck at 180k.

I live in Massachusetts so I was mostly concerned with getting her up out of the snow. Love how I can get under my truck now to do other maintenance. I recently sprayed the crap out of the bottom with rustoleum primer to hopefully stop some of the superficial rusting. Looking forward to driving her for many more miles! Thanks again for all the useful feedback.

Off topic, cause that's what I do.

Does anyone have a picture of king shocks that are set at stock? I wanna see kinda where mine are at.

Also, it's like 1 turn= like 1/8th if an inch in lift, right?
