re installed my light bar after fixing the end caps after they broke. These are 100x stronger and beefier than the ones that came with it. Im hoping no more issues.

Also installed my diff drop. Was easy install once i had to go buy the right length bolts (i dont reccomend RevTek diff drop). Definitely helped my angles, im hoping this will stop my CVs from flinging grease everywhere.

Capped the ends today while messing around at the shop.

Here's a video I made of the fun.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jE317Bvdghs&list=UUl8nyVN1NPgh7Vf1z1z2QZg

Change to HD for optimal viewing.

Time for a face lift for my front end.

got the fenders on. Meant to do the headlights but i need her bulbs for just about everything so i need to do some research on the bulbs and wire in the proper plugs. Fenders fit great, only had to sand one area and the lines are pretty damn good.

New HID bulbs and these gems came in today. Now I can finally swap over to my 06 headlights

Got my headlights in. I'm really shocked and disappointed Toyota has the 1156 bulb at the blinker. I remember those from my 68 cougar. Like seriously Toyota? Anyway I love the look of the 06 headlights. The blinker in the light and I love the way the lower filler piece actually clips in!

I also cranked the front an inch.

    I pick it up today

Purchased the long travel progressive rate rear springs. Should be a LOT softer in the rear.

Also got LT rear link bars which are also double the thickness of OEM so will be a ton beefier.

Swapped out the rear springs today. I noticed they had a driver side specific spring so that helps with the lean. Hopefully i wont need a spacer to adjust.

The swap was extremely easy. Basically as soon as the shocks came off the axle drooped enough to dump the old springs. Ride seems a lot softer on large bumps, ill see how it breaks in. It also dropped 3/4" in the rear

Walked out Sunday morning to see this...

I went and talked to the body shop, they're going to repair it but they want me to make wheel liners first so a rock wont hit it again and damage it.

My plan for "custom" liners are get a thinner piece of sheet metal, like a 4x4 sheet and get longer L brackets and mimic the wheel arch from the wheel tub and bring it up to be hidden and then trace the arch on the inner fender. From there ill mount the L brackets and then mark holes on the sheet metal to attach it. It should be strong enough to deflect any rocks and also be hidden from view. Ill be making it this weekend as they want the fenders next week.

Today's project was to create a fender liner that will protect the fiberglass for once these are fixed and to prevent this in the future.

Took a trip up to the mountains this weekend and went and explored. My GoPro got turned on during the drive so it was dead and i forgot my cord :fp: So i just have a few pics

went and explored about 150 miles of logging roads and found a bunch of hidden lakes and relaxed. Was a great trip and the 4runner handled everything like a champ. These rear springs definitely a huge improvement, around 25mph on washboard roads it smooths completely out and glides across the dirt. Was a lot of fun, the 4runner is absolutely disgustingly dirty.

    Stock comparison
    [IMG]

Sleeves for the stock sway bar to protect the threads of the new bolts.

The overall Eyelet to frame mount should be 6 1/2" so instead of cutting the bushing like others have, i cut the sleeve down a hair. The heims add about an inch if not a little less so you'll need to do one or the other. I refused to cut a perfectly new bushing.

Measurement for what length you want the sleeve to be
    [IMG]

All combined, back at 6 1/2" like desired.

Installed (notice its now parallel to the lower link. Definitely an improvement from the OEM link angle.

Very easy installation and build, i highly recommend them. Im only in this about $40.

went up to the mountains this past weekend, wheeled a bit. Suspension is perfect, theres parts where i was 60mph+ and it was smooth as glass offroad. Very impressed. Now i just want to strap the front and add a better bump stop up front.

Started building a box today. To fit comfortably within the side of my cargo area. I've had the 8" in factory location which I explained and showed in the beginning of my build. It was time to move on to bigger and better but still not take up a lot of space because I use my cargo area almost daily.

I got half way through this before I decided I should take pics so this is all I have.

Tomorrow I'm going to carpet it to match existing tan carpet. Also going to close off the box a bit, take the cubic feet down a touch as the sub only needs 0.80 (minimum)and its sitting around 1.25 right now. Maximum is 3.0

Finished up today. Very happy with how it turned out. I closed off the box to 0.90 cubic feet for optimal sound. Carpeted it up and fully secured it. I'm happy with it.

Installed some raptor grille LEDs today. I found a raptor and had my tape measure on me so I measured the width of the lights as well as the separation measurement. So I installed mine to "raptor spec". Here's my process and pics in progression.

    Take the grille off.

Grabbed this from local hardware store. Was the right length and thin enough to work perfectly.

Three LED trailer marker lights from superbrightLED.com.

Measured and drilled mounting holes to line up with the OEM grille securing bolts. Also measured out and drilled the 3/4" holes spaced appropriately.

Scuffed and painted the metal to finalize the install. You can also see where I cut and dremel sanded the center bar on the upper grilled opening. Then I smoothed it down and shot it with some black paint to hide and not obstruct the LED in any way.

I daisy chained the LEDs and soldered them together and ran wire behind the under hood mat and ran down and under the fender and out by the headlight where I soldered in the wires that tap into the parking lights for the power feed. Bolted the grille on and loomed the exposed wire and secured it out of the way of the hood latch.

Tonight I took the Toyota momentary traction control switch and converted it to an on/off switch.

    I took the switch apart

Then I made two pieces. One straight to a 13/16" length, one Z shaped to a 1/4", 7/16", 1/8" shape.

Removed the switch stop that didn't allow the switch to fully seat.

Placed the 13/16" straight rod in first, it just sits there. Then place the Z piece long end in first by the rod. I filed the edges to not be sharp as it pressed against the plastic switch with a nail file.

    Reassemble switch and tested it.

Switch worked great, can hear it engage when you press it down and it holds. Then releases once you press again. The switch is now an on/off switch.

I got off early today so I went ahead and tackled this.

Remove the glove box and the single screw to access the 4x box.

This is what it looked like when I opened the driver side lower panel.

Cut the red and white wire as I have to have the wire I just tapped on the passenger side connect to this red/white wire before the plug.

Run the wire from the passenger side to the driver side and clean up the wiring and tape what you need and start buttoning the paneling back.

I've driven around with it off. As long as you turn it off before turning the car off you're golden.

You can see here I have two LEDs that aren't working. I attempted to fix and then ran out of PLCC-2s so I ordered more. But I need to drive so here's where I'm at until those come in.

    I'm very happy with it.

Did my steering wheel control LEDs.

Trimmed up my cab mount some more and got rid of the sharp corner of the pinch weld. Also opened up the rear fender on the bumper cover for more clearance.

Had a ton of fun this weekend, found a lot of snow surprisingly.

Coopers did great, scrubbed just a little. Real happy with my set up, we got through some deep snow and ice as well as the usual trail dirt.

Bought some washers and nuts for the bump stop set up. Here's how I did it.

Installed my OEM sport hood tonight. It's unpainted but for now I'll leave it. It went on easy and fast. I need to remove the vinyl piece off the fender still. I'll do that over the weekend. It was leaving glue residue and I didn't want to deal with it tonight.

    Installed them today.

Greased and placed the bushings, had to clean out the PC on the zerk hole threads but they went in. Had to grind off my steering stops on the lower OEM mount so they wouldn't destroy the LCA. Torqued the uniball and ready for install.

My bump stop bolts came in today. I love when you order a "custom" bolt and they're actually correct!
    c22fc6ff9009ee9e79756d76fb08ca7a_6a37e10c57148eb5112770315a20dda247ed0499.jpg

Got home and installed these and checked the torque on everything. The lower uniball wasn't loose at all after 400 miles so that's good to see.

Bump extension is 1" it looks like a ton but it's no different than before, the arms are just angled more so the bump location is lower. TC includes a machined bump stop extension at just under 1" but the bolt on the super bumps doesn't work with it. So I made my own extensions from UMHW and a 3" hole saw. Came out great I think. I ended up using the M10x1.25x60 bolts in place of the x70 I ordered as well.

Some of you know i went to Pismo this past weekend. Here's a few pics from my travels. Along with my blown coilover. Which is being taken to be rebuilt tonight.

Had to remove my washer bottle reservoir because I finally wore a hole in it in pismo and dumped all my fluid. So much more room now. Need to find a small square reservoir and see if I can put behind the headlight under the hood.

While I had my Icons rebuilt because they blew AGAIN in pismo I purchased some King 2.5 extended travel resi coilovers. King sent the wrong resi mounts so they're still zip tied for now.

Welded on my resi mounts today. Made sure it cleared the UCA and coils. I also bent the tabs to have more surface area to weld and it sucked it in to the frame a little more. Real happy with them.

I'm still trying to figure out why my rear end is so harsh. So I took baseline photos to see if I hit anywhere.

    6cbe7ba2bed1c96e2c2b3a4a3f4491f8_d8fdc027d7b0c7d6a4a7072ec8145d5836587fd4.jpg

Nothing out of the ordinary there. So I took the jack and jacked up one side of the axle to compress as far as I could before the other rear wheel came off the ground.

    1a8f04fcc720cc0f6e3e91fe337ffda4_ed4b0839c88e3b1eae0c6f2e6c10fe487b068ae9.jpg

So with nothing touching I was a bit stumped. So I decided to remove the rear shock and cycle it off the vehicle in case any issues arose there.

    81ef74f07fe70eaa7e5ea91ee299fa56_9c6a05de223f0599685c217596b3d583a1299400.jpg

Found my issue there. They're not charged anymore. So I'm going to take them to get rebuilt, revalved and inspected.

    Sold them to Peter.

So in my sadness i did a little retail therapy.

I have these on the way. 10" 2.5 2 tube King Bypasses with remote resi.

Cut out the old shock pocket and created a new one with the shock tower. Burned it all in after we checked droop and compression.
