They certainly can and we have recommended them to a few of our customers. We have much respect for what they do.

That said its pretty difficult to valve someone's shocks simply based on a conversation over the phone. With my own truck we have swapped coils a few times and my rear shocks will be revalved for the 3rd time very soon. From this perspective perhaps the generic valving (off the shelf) is a good place to start; valving that is fine for most. If wanting to really dial things in IMHO its best to just work with someone local so they can get a clear understanding of what and who they are working with.

    Just my 0.02 though.

Wait I thought I had the impression you guys coordinate business with each other based off the customers needs of mid travel or long travel? Sounds like some competition!

That is true! I do know DSMS Is usually pretty spot on when it comes to valving/Spring rate based on what mods youll be having on your tacoma. Obviously you can never be 100% spot on, but they've got some good experience from alot of desert tuning. You're right though, sometimes off the shelf is a good place to start, especially if you've got more mods planned for the future.
