lots to see and do there depending on what he's into. plenty natural beauty, but plenty of crime and sketchy areas as well. I'm pretty out of touch, left that mess 15 years ago

 

So thinking of building an AR. Anyone willing to pm me some pointers? I own a bunch of rifles that I hunt with and never really got into the AR thing.

Since everyone else seems to be building them I might as well jump in

 

Want to go cheap or expensive?

What're you going to be using it for? Plinking? Hunting? Etc?

 

Don't wanna go cheap but also don't wanna break the bank. Mostly for plinking. I'm pretty dialed with my hunting rifles.

 

Palmetto State Armory makes some decently priced stuff. My AR-10 is full Palmetto and I've never had an issue with it. My AR-15 is about 50% Palmetto. You can build a decently priced railed AR for about 5-700$ if you get stuff during their deals and stuff.

 

Aero precision makes some nice AR-10 setups. If I were going to build another I'd go Aero.

This is my current AR-10. Funny thing is theasy iron sights on it cost about half of what I built the thing for haha

Yea thats what I've sort of told him. We are dutch by blood so he finds that bit interesting. He'll be going around the continent for a month for his start up company; uganda, Nigeria, tanzania, and South Africa.

 

Two of my lowers are Aero, GREAT products.

 

AR-10 = .308, correct? I've got an Ar-15 and 2 pieces of metal IYKWIM, but I'd like something in a larger caliper. Either building one, Or get myself a Ruger Scout finally.
