Lug nut torque, does it matter?

    I've done a mod or two
    SMA is respectable for sure. Eric the Car Guy lost mine when he welded a ball joint into a control arm, he cuts a lot more corners now that he's YouTube famous.

    I have a 1/2 Craftsman C3 Heavy duty cordless impact and it's rated at 300 ft lbs, it tears of the lugnuts off my truck like nothing.

    we had those when I worked for Sears in high school, we used them for a few months and then we went back to torque wrenches instead. Never heard if there was a failure or not.

    You are correct. I'm wrong. Have no clue what I was thinking there. :anonymous:

    Air guns great for removal on plain steel lugs. Never on chrome. I prefer to reinstall by starting by hand (to avoid any cross thread risk), run down close with gun (not till it chatters) then finalizing by hand in a criss cross pattern.
