Squeaky Clutch Problem

My clutch squeaks a lot when it is pressed, how do i get rid of the squeak? Can it just be oiled? It sounds like its right by the driver tire

 

There is a TSB for this issue if you do a search on the forums. Mine was doing it alot when it was warmer out but stopped after it hit freezing temps. When it comes back I am going to take it in and hopefully get the TSB done even though they said the TSB is only up to 06 I think. They said if it's the same issue they can apply the TSB to any year though.

 

The squeak is most likely coming from inside the large rubber boot (the one the pink marking is pointing to). Get a can of White Lithium Grease ($3 at Advance Auto Parts) and spray it inside there. I took the boot off and sprayed the hell out of everything. It hasn't squeaked in six weeks.

 

hope that works. Its the throwout bearing. that rubber boot does protect it but your not supposed to grease it. I replaced mine when I did my clutch because I had the same problem, but now its chirps. so good luck

 

^ Yeah, I know you're not supposed to grease it. But I'm out of warranty anyways, so whatever goes wrong I have to take the cost. So I may as well start with a $3 can of grease and hope for the best.

 

Thanks for the help, but please, what does TSB mean? and would greasing that boot and the bearing hurt the clutch?
