My A/C blows cold, but I'd like to increase air flow. More air. More faster. More betterer.

Anyone have a link to what they've used?

My AC on High blows a shit load of air. Are you sure your servos are opening all air doors completely?

I think so? But I'm not sure? How would I verify that?

Sorry, I don't know. Maybe someone on here will.

Does the air flow change when you change the control setting?

^^ That could be it. Take the filter out and see if the air flow improves.

I have changed it, and did get an improvement in air flow. Just not where I want it/not as high as my wife's Rav4.

When you changed the cabin filter, was it replaced with an OEM filter or after-market? Could be replacement doesn't flow as much air as OEM.

That fram has carbon in it i believe which would flow slightly less then regular pleated. How old is your truck? My 05 has good flow

Max speed is pretty fast on mine. I'm not sure you would see much of an improvement in cooling if you installed a more powerful motor though--the AC can only pump so much refrigerant. You're looking at a diminishing rate of return without upgrading the rest of the AC system. You could remove the filter altogether, or put in some fine mesh like mosquito netting to keep leaves out.

The air it does blow is plenty cold. I just want to increase airflow volume.

My truck is a '14. I just tried pulling the filter and running the A/C. It blows a little harder, but barely noticeable. (And that could just be the placebo effect, since I was expecting it would.)

I have not looked at the toyota system, but I have had some older vehicles that if you pull the motor you maybe able to play/modify the squirrel cage fan to tighten gap tolerances or bend/mod fins to get more air to move. You may have already played with this but closing the far passenger vent or restricting it internally so you get more pressure to your side.

I've noticed a similar thing with my truck. I have also replaced the cabin filter with a new OEM one and noticed no real change. When comparing the max ac blower setting and only using the upper vents with the Tacoma it is comparable to my 1997 Honda when it is at 75% blower speed (it sounds stupid but it is quite a noticeable difference when you live in the Tucson heat)... A lot of other people seem to think the Tacoma has a weaker blower motor. I just make a practice of closing the passenger vent when I don't have any passengers, and when I do the AC just has to run harder for longer to get the cabin to an appropriate temperature.

My '98 on full blast is like a hurricane. I only use the highest setting for defrosting my windshield. It actually has more airflow and gets colder faster than my Mercedes '00.

It probably helps that I live in California where everyone bundles up when it reaches 55 degrees, lol. I don't think it's ever gotten above 95 where I live for the past 12 years I've lived here. The one week a year that it rains it's absolute anarchy.

    Here's something to note.

HVAC Blowing on just upper or just lower region will push more air than multiple regions.

Also having Recirc on will make a difference.
