    Morning all

Rain? You have to be kidding.
54% chance, we will see if it actually happens.

I will strip naked and run around outside if it does. Stand by for pics.

Good morning. I spent yesterday getting the Silverado ready for the trip north next weekend for the trip to NoCal to bring the Tacoma home. Did the brakes, abs sensors and shocks. I still have to put in a trailer brake module, but that shouldn't take long. Last night the wife and I went to checkout the local races at Cocopah Speedway. We do that a few times a year.

Getting pretty excited to get the Tacoma down here and get it on the road.

I'm borrowing my friend's 18' flatbed trailer to bring the Tacoma back on.

Yuma to Ukiah and back in probably 4 days.

You're killing me. The doc freaked out on my last labs...no more salt, cut the carbs and get back on course. So a lifestyle change is in order.

Long story short. My 91 y/o aunt has a ranch her and my uncle had together. He passed in 06 so it's mostly been just her. He bought the Tacoma new in 98. Well, she just can't do the things she once was able to do and driving the truck is one of them. So on my last trip up there I bought it from her. They were meticulous with maintenance and care so the truck is about as cherry as you'll ever find.

The truck only has 44k miles on it but, since my uncle passed, I'm not so sure the timing belt ever got changed since there were so few miles on it at the time. So I don't want to chance driving it back and having to do road repairs...and I'm not real sure those tires aren't about 10 years old or so. So I'm taking the safe route. One of my sons is going up with me so we'll get to spend some time together too.

My doc wanted to cut my meds because on on the lower side of my a1c.. I said lets go 3 more months and check again. She said why and I said so I can eat more junk.
I burn so much during the day I have to have snacks all day plus meals.
At night I just need to watch cause I don't burn it off.
The life style change caused me to lose about 25 pounds I didn't need to lose. Felt like crap. So I did my own diet and gained most of it back. I feel 15 years younger.
You can eat stuff like this. Just count the carbs and adj during the day. I just don't drink reg soda and have 1/2 a birthday cake anymore.

I told my doc to give me 90 days to get it all strait on my own. The last 3 months we've been back and forth to Ukiah for funerals or vacation and eating all that junk caught up with me...but he adjusted meds anyway and wants me back in 2 more.weeks to check bp and 60 more days for more labs...I can stand to drop a few lbs anyway. When we got back from vacation I could feel that I did need to make some changes. But there's something to say about "happy weight"...but I am a little above that so it's a good thing. We'll know more in 2 weeks.
