I have heard that about these guns before I own 2/19's,23,26,27,30 and just added the 43 to the collection I have no issues with shooting glocks. For me I have excellent point of impact and point of aim with them all. I do shoot 1911's on a regular basis...

I love glocks dont get me wrong. Once I figure out how to master that little one its going to be a hell of a range day :D Are you shooting your own loaded ammo out of the 43 or buy it from the store? If so what brand are you shooting? I tend to stay with remmington green box and its never failed me. I havent shot that out of the 43 though. I think we shot some cheap range ammo that day.

Now I wanna go to the range today! :annoyed:

I shoot 124 gr Magtech RN most of the time as I have found so far that it handles that round very well vs 115/147 gr it is a little beast but for the size extremely accurate out too 15/17 yards. I have managed 1.67-2.13 inch groups so far....

Not joking about the 43. It kicks harder than my 27

I shot a G19 and didn't care for it, but it's far better than the 92F I carried in the Army. I have a CZ-75, Sig P938, SA .45, a few Hk's, but I shoot both my Kimber .45's better than any of them.

As @crashnburn80 stated earlier, go to a range and try several. Pick the one that fits your hand and you shoot the best, then practice practice practice.

Agreed. No matter what you get the best thing you can do is get out and shoot it.

Thanks for all the input guys, unfortunately I am on shift today, so ill have to wait for next wed. as it is my local range's 1.50 rental day.

I recently shot the 19, a walther ppq, and a ccp(all 9mm). I think I will test several more before making my decision, but I did like the 19 and the reliable track record it has.

Between this new hobby and truck parts my bank account has no chance...

This is my dirty little secret.....I absolutely LOVE this gun, but, like you said, it doesn't have the reliable lineage like a Glock. Walther does have a long track record, but Glock is definitely know for reliability.

I have had zero malfunctions with my PPQ m2. The trigger is beautiful. The factory 3 dot sights are good. The grip feels perfect to me. I literally cannot say enough good things about it, but I like my Glocks too...

Having put in my Sig fanboy opinion, I would also buy a Glock in a second. They are fantastic guns, extremely reliable, the amount of aftermarket items for it is abundant (if you're into pimping your gun), and lightweight (great for CC). Even though this is your first, you can always get another gun in the future. This upcoming handgun you are thinking about purchasing does not have to be your only gun for the rest of your life.

G19 hands down. One of the benefits of a striker fired pistol is the consistent trigger pull. Besides replacing the factory dovetail protectors the only other thing you need to do is take a class. A lot of good suggestions so far but I honestly think the best thing you can do is get some professional instruction. You'll enhance your knowledge and skill exponentially over any hardware modifications. After that ammo & mags.

You can never go wrong with a Taco & Glock. Fell in love with them the first time I shot one. Carry a 17 as my daily. Wouldn't mind picking up another to have hidden around the house.
