what leafs did you guys go with? I have the single deaver 1.5 and it's seemed to settle faster than the front. At first install I had a slight rake like factory and now it's level, almost seems a bit lower in the rear from the makes eye.

i dont have 885's but went with 884's w/ HS progressive AAL's and left the overload in. if you're on the OEM original leaf + shocks, you might want to look into getting the recall done for a new set and reinstall your AAL and new 5100 shocks or time to get a whole new leaf pack. http://www.headstrongoffroad.com/store/c64/Leaf_Packs.html

yeah I got the recall done a few hundred miles before install. May end up with a new leaf pack. Not even running a hard top. My softopper is only 36lbs. Unless its my imagination LOL

also 884s was a good move. My 885s on prerunner is very high and what's making my rear seem shorter. I would otherwise be level

Hey Trippin, Is their much rake in your truck with the AAL in the rear? Because I have the 884's but nothing in the rear yet.

 ok I'm in, ordering my lift in the next couple weeks, torn between 884 and 885. I have a DC 4x4 but no extra weight. I have 275/70/17 Goodyear MTRs waiting to go on.
Looking to level and clear the tires more then height.
    Thoughts?

Read through the entire thread, great info. I have two Tacomas I need to lift in the near future.
First of a few questions, I'm sure, and please forgive me if this naĂŻve....if the 885 coils are doing the lifting, why go with an adj shock like the Bilsteins especially if they are going to be set at 0? Is it their length?
    Thanks!

There's rake for me but that was the plan since I'll be getting a shell soon. I'm sure if took the overload out it would be less rake. I'll try to take some pics this weekend.
What this guy^^^ said. You'll probably have more options on fitting bigger tire size with the 885's with a bit of trimming. but if you do go with the 885's you'll more than likely need to get some AAL's for the rear.

image.jpg This is recent pic at 7000miles. The front did settle a little bit since my 884's were put on. But if my truck is sitting on a level parking area the rear is sitting just a little lower than the front.

I decided to go with Dakar OME CS047R leaf packs. I wanted the extra support for my shell and loaded bed / tent trailer ect. I also put my mud flaps back on after I trimmed 2 inches off of them. It has a slight rake and I like it. I do not have to worry about having weight in the back and sagging and ready to pick up a tent trailer soon.
I absolutely love these leaf springs the ride is great.

Can do. Tomorrow though. Was in the middle of a full exterior detail this evening which I have to finish in the morning. I'll pull it out of the garage then and take a shot.
