This from one of the guy on SCOR+:
    For the stranded party...
"The main reason I joined this group was because of their motto, "pay it forward".
In this situation, everyone did what they had to do without expecting any compensation. You and your hobby have probably assisted your fellow man on many occasions and various ways. Carma has now compensated both of your for that. Or maybe, it is your turn now to pay it forward. Whichever, glad to hear you and yours and all who assisted are home safe and sound. Hope you all get a good morning sleep in."

I don't consider myself being an actual SCOR member, I saw this thread here and then I saw what was posted at the SOS FB page, not seeing any volunteers at first. And with me knowing the MJT well and knowing a fellow TW'er in need of help I decided to go.

I wasn't there or anything to have any input and not sure if this is local talk but seems a bit harsh. Glad everyone's good to go now.

No, never ever too harsh to anyone who leaves others stranded on the trail.

Never abandon anyone on the trail ever!

Kudos to all involved rescue parties and efforts. Was an interesting thread to follow for sure. Glad the stuck truck came out unscathed.

yep, I have been called out. Again my apologies to everyone & thanks to everyone who went above and beyond to help. I feel terrible for leaving, I don't know what help I could've been with no winch, no recovery gear & a slipping clutch. That is no excuse I know, I am not making any excuses & regret leaving. At this point all I can do is apologize & hope the guys I went with will forgive my poor decision. If they don't I completely understand.

Take a chill pill. There were more people there than just the stuck truck. Myself and members of the Ohio crew have been separated at times. It happens.

Glad it all worked out ok and everyone made it home safe! I'm going to start a local recovery page for southern Oregon. We have a lot of off road pages but not one dedicated to recovery needs.

Now if it was just boosted and the stuck truck. Different story. At least there was others there. I personally wouldn't have left. Hard to do on a Sunday night when most people have work/school in the morning

Wasn't there a couple other trucks staying behind with him? If there was then I don't see where all this hate is coming from :notsure: I've never left someone behind and never would leave someone behind on a trail by themselves, if I had to I would take them out with me in my truck (@digitaLbraVo and I did this with a couple kids stuck out in Pismo in August). If there were others that were able to stay behind with the stuck party, then maybe I'm missing something here...I get that it's shitty but he didn't leave him stranded out there alone. Calling him "the lowest of low" and saying he should be banned forever is a big over-reaction IMO.

i definetly take who I'm wheeling with into consideration, prior to agreeing to go out. If they come accross as a dumbass who will do dumb shit and end up broken down or stuck I know that I'll be obligated to stay around and help. Not saying that this has anything to do with how this situation played out, but anytime I head out wheeling I go into it with the idea that I'm out there with the group until everyone gets out, which is another reason I don't head out with everyone often. It's hard to be able to set aside a whole day to cover incidental issues. It's funny to see people that are so gunghoe until the shit hits the fan. Part of wheeling is knowing who your going out with and surrounding yourself with the people who you can count on. It's definetly nice to see how some of the TW members pulled together to help their fellow member out.
