Man, I read this same crap a dozen times every day. Didn't know we have "search" police. Who cares? If they ask and someone is willing to respond, then good for them! Why does it bother some? Is it affecting you that he asks?

It appears DigitalSensei cares. If you treat the forum like Google, you will probably be called out for it. Just like you are tired of hearing the "same crap", some people get tired of the same posts asking questions that are simple to answer, by going to Toyota.com, the manual, or Google.

This problem exists on every forum on the internet and has only gotten worse since the invention of Facebook.
And as much as I would like to blame the people who treat the forum like the endless teat of free knowledge, it's really the fault of the people who answer. When you go for the 'aw fuckit, I can quick answer that' it gives positive reinforcement to the behavior. And that's how they keep tapping the nipple of information.

Especially when it something so obvious. OP compared two different trucks that have two different packages. Do people just go out and buy a 40k vehicle and not know what they got? I mean its pretty simple.

It should have went something like this

Hey buddy my truck beeps when I get close to something backing up, yours doesn't. Yea dude, you got the P&T package, I didn't.

    Instead it went like this

Dude your truck is f***d up, it don't beep when backing up. Dann man, we better make a profile and post this up on TW.

    ...the nipple of information.

If nothing else, this thread gave us the nipple of information.

And for that I remain grateful.

    so, what's a nipple?

Bingo. Just like people write "don't feed the trolls," I "don't feed the people who can't be bothered to make an effort."

Give a man an answer, and you've helped him for a day. Teach a man to Google, and you've helped him for a lifetime.

Now we've gone and probably run off OleScottyC. Were Sorry OldScottyC, you thought you were just asking a simple question in a Tacoma Forum. We can be big jerks sometimes. Come back!
