Check out this place in Woodbridge Virginia! Really good trails, it's legal and you pay one fee for the day, I was there for four hours and didn't get to ride all the trails. http://www.redcloudoffroad.com

Fuck them and their anti liberty beliefs.

    From their FAQ:

    "Can I bring my firearm?

Law Enforcement Officers with B&C may carry a firearm. All others, including Concealed Weapon Permit holders may not."

I'll spend my $50 at places that arent run by gun fearing cocksuckers.

It's Woodbridge. The trails are bordered by housing developements and highways.

Gonna see if red cloud is any good once it warms up. Might as well try it out with how close it is. Land rover guys are all saying is easy trails, but that it's nice to have nearby, so you can just go for a couple hour day trip, and not have to soak up an entire weekend with it.

I am also thinking of going to red cloud when it gets a bit not so cold...

Maybe we can schedule a meet up to scout the place so we aren't going alone , just in case help is needed on the trails....

I don't know for sure, but I would imagine that this policy has to do with their insurance policy for the property and not any anti-liberty beliefs they may or may not hold. If that's a policy they need to adhere to in order to give people a legal place to go four wheeling in the middle of the Washington, D.C. suburbs then so be it.

I was thinking of heading there on a Saturday or Sunday to scout it out. Haven't planned any dates yet

Anyone want to meet up and make a group run out of it?

Just heard about a place in Lovetsville, it's called Joshie's Jeepin and Creepin. Ridiculous name... but it's only 30$ for entry as far as I can tell! Anyone been there?? Red Cloud is events only and they are charging about 65$ for the day; also it looks like their pages are all down. WTF are they closed again?!

Old thread but this may give some good info:

You can always look up big dogs off-road when they are at the Cove campground in Winchester VA and do off-roading events there. A little pricey for the weekend but trails are guided and you stage your truck prior to going out based on Level of difficulty of the trails. Most of the events are jeep based.

With that said, a trail I haven't been through yet is Potts Mountain, SW VA. Heard a lot of good things about it but need a capable truck/driver to get through it.

There's GW national forest has miles of cool trails, nothing difficult, good camping.

Closer to you Nova guys would be Rausch Creek off-road park, I plan on going here next year and looks like a blast.
