 Nice bro. I wouldn't use plexi for the front. Warps in the sun. Unless you get a thicker one. But looks good! Did you use basically everything I used?

Looks great Cody! Something as simple as covering the holes in the front one make a huge difference in noise reduction. There are a few cheap products I've found at lowes as potential covers. I ended up using plexiglass that I ripped down to the with then countersunk some holes to keep bolt heads below the surface.

For the most part. I wanted to buy the tracks that go in the weather strips but it defeated the purpose of a cheap alternative rack lol.

Started to do the mounting brackets, hopefully I'll get them welded tomorrow. Still need to weld the top plate to mount the unistrut to. I forgot to take a pic of the 1" spacers where the brackets sit on top of.

I'm in a dilemma.. found a good deal on a CVT but it has an annex. My plan was to throw the rack onto my tonneau cover but with the annex I'm gonna need more height. So either get rid of my tonneau and pick up an actual bed rack/overland bars and sell this one I made or find a way to throw it on my access cab roof. Or get the bed rack AND throw the the rack on the roof.

i say get some bed bars and throw your rack on the roof. You're going to have to do a lot of changes on it though. To fit right. Also keep in mind you're going to want a bed rack that is the height of the roof. If it's any shorter, then you'll have to crouch under the annex. I plan to get mid height bed bars with a RTT. But no annex.

Yeah I think my rack isn't going to be wide enough to fit the strips on the roof. I was looking at the mid height bars cuz I don't want the tent much higher than the roof. Looks like either crouch and sell the annex or full out bed rack

Yeah I'm in the same boat. I want my RTT to stay somewhat even with the roof. So I'm going with relentless fabs 3 bar set up at 8" high. Should put the top of the tent just above the roof. And no annex.

@Patch92 Where did you get those front brackets to hold the front wind piece on?

i went to lowes, in the roofing section there is a bunch of brackets. the ones i got were flat, i had to bend them. they were about 12" long. I cut mine down to fit right, bent them, and mounted them. if you find them, make sure you get the thicker ones, not the flimsy kind. they should be hard to bend, but not impossible.

I can't debate rather I like the side pieces that think or not. Do you all think it takes away from the truck or no? I know everyone else's look a hair thinner, but for some reason I can't get used to it. Maybe because it's new and right on my roof to begin with lol.

No you didn't send me your address lol. I'm for sure gonna have to do the front because the noise is wayyyy too loud. I'm thinking about going the aluminum way all around to match. I also am thinking about adding a single row LED bar kindof low profile in the front.

I'm sure the answer to this question is somewhere in this thread, but, what size threads are tapped into the roof? and are they nylocks?
