    Thanks guys.
Vinyl is holding up perfect. Even did my side mirrors.
IMO gives the hood a more aggressive look..and inexpensive too.

On a scale of 1-10. 10 being the most sketchy , how sketchy did it feel to snap those mirror covers off? Like they were gonna bust or...?

Use a plastic prying tool, start at the inside where you can't see if you make a mark.

I have to pop dashes apart all day at my job, so there is a threshold where you know something is going to break.
    That being said,
Just go slow and put some muscle Into it, plastic is more foregiving then you think.

    Edit:
Vinyl wrapping the mirror is another venture. The compound curves can get a litttle challenging on such a small part. Heatgun is your friend.

Do you have to use a compound or anything under the vinyl on the hood? Or do you just stick it on there?

Where did you get the vinyl? Everywhere I look it is very expensive.

    QUESTIONS!!
    lol

This tape you used, where does a guy get some?
I wanna do some "rocker" vinyl with matte black as shown in red.
Of course a perfect line along the top and curves is a must but I don't wanna cut on paint.
This looks like what I need!?
    TACO ROCKER VINYL.jpg

ps. looks real good! might also do matte black on my scoop.

Right on. Thank you. This is going to be a nice little winter garage project coming up.
Looks great by the way. How is the vinyl holding up to washes ? IE any brush marks left behind ?

Matte black on gloss black looks real good and real subtle.
and its more for paint protection than anything else. No mud flaps, door dings etc.

I appreciate the link!! My local shop will sell me tape for 25$ and vinyl for 130$
    Im in Alberta
