Feeler/Interest gauge for 12-15 blackout interior parts

Thanks. Painted the rings camo black (ultra flat) and I'm about to attempt to vinyl wrap my tweeter rings now. Key word being attempt.

 

The speedometer rings are installed. Finally.

 

For those who are interested, vinyl wrapping the tweeter rings works well. I did it in place. No removal necessary.

This was my first time wrapping, so I'll probably end up doing it again to make it perfect.

 

Did you place a sheet on it in place and cut it out or what?

 

I cut out an oversized square piece and stuck it on. About an inch over on all sides.

Then I did the normal pressing of the corners using the plastic tool and heat.

Once I was satisfied, I cut it out using a razor and I was done.

 

Wrapping isn't that difficult guys... just time consuming

It was my first time. Took a minute to get used to, but yeah, it's pretty easy.

 

do you know how much you have to trim to get it to sit flush?

how much and where does it need the trimming to be done at?

There where a few spot that I had ended up sanding down for the switch to sit flush. On the switch housing(outside) and the opening. Just a heads up, I did end up having to epoxy it in place since the switch can pop out easily. So if you ain't a fan of keeping this permanent then you can look at the other mods that just switch out the switch; I think the 4Runner??

I have ordered both part numbers for the Radio trim bezel, and the one I have came in a box labeled

55421-04050

Per the part number listed in the latest update in the first post (or first page). The Finish is the Black Sand Pearl, High gloss finish. I expected a Matte finish... I had them order the second one and it was labeled 55421-04020. It was also the Black sand pearl finish. Can anyone confirm they ordered the matte finish trim bezel and got what the ordered? No one but me seems to be having this issue. I can't find the time to read the entire 38 pages to see if there were other issues, but read quite a few, and no one has mentioned it where I have read.

Can Cativelense or Rick either one get one and check it for proper finish (Matte finish) and ship it to me? I will pay in advance and pay shipping as well, if needed. As an aside the original Part has a tag on the inside that reads 6599A-130913-279 I know this is used at times to help find parts... but not all the parts guys know how to use it for hunting.... (A little bar code tag )

Sorry dude but I didn't order the radio trim bezel pc. I left mine the way it was, which is a shiny black one to match the AC control trim pc, so I can't really confirm. Wish I could help but can't. Who did you order it from? Did you get it from this thread, through Jordan?!
