So maybe this is just a byproduct of having had the first person I talked to a locker about go on a tirade about how air lockers were shitty and unreliable, but are there any aftermarket options other than air for a selectable manual locking diff? I know the electronic lockers don't interchange because my 4x2 is an auto and apparently has the 8" diff that does not straight swap. Is there something like a cable actuated locker?

Auto lockers don't particularly appeal because the clacking and no selectability, but... maybe I just need to be red pilled on how air lockers aren't shit?

I've never heard anyone say anything bad about air lockers, if anything I've only heard the occasional complaint about e-lockers.
