I want to ground an amplifier by a passenger seat bolt, but don't want to do this unless the bolts go to the frame. Does anyone know? Thanks.

The cabs bolted to the frame yes and the seats are bolted to the cab of the truck so in theory it all should be bolted to the frame!!

The chassis ground is more important than the frame ground. That bolt is less than Ideal though, most of the factory grounds are on the A and B pillars.

The passenger seat mounting bolt does not go directly to the frame. They are bolted to the cab floor. The cab is however mounted to the frame and has the exact same ground potential.

So grounding to the seat bolt is exactly the same electrically speaking as grounding to the frame.

Just to add, I have never seen a seat mounting bolt that goes to the frame in my short 62 years on this earth.
