Suck my ass dude. Mom would be heated if I showed up and just said "Cancel my birthday dinner plans, I'm headed to AOP for the weekend"

I really like the hoops on the rear bumpers too. They're in my plans for future mods.

The way I understand it, which I have a lot to learn and I'm sure someone else in here can better shed light on the subject of leaf spring geometry, is:the longer a shackle is with a standard length replacement leaf spring, not altering the hangers or anything else, will give more a more vertical angle on the shackle. This causes a more harsh ride and limits droop from what I've gathered. A proper shackle angle will provide good amounts of both droop and uptravel.

There's a lot of bad information on do's and don'ts on this forum regarding suspension and suggested setups. Please don't take what I'm saying as fact lol

Back in the day, when 99.9% of 4wds had leaf springs front and rear, we would add longer shackles to any lift kit as standard operating procedure.....I had 2 Jeeps (CJ's) and my first Toyota ('84) with longer shackles AND aftermarket leaf springs. It was my observation that longer shackles would cause leaves to "de-arch" faster than the same exact lift with stock shackles. My opinion of shackle lifts falls into the same category as body lift's..... A last resort method. Relatively cheap initially, but expensive long term. Nothing scientific about my observation....strictly anecdotal.....

The auxbeam 4" pods I have are still doing well for reverse lights. Don't remember if they had a flush mount version. I got pods to aim more towards sides.
