Need some help troubleshooting a Viper alarm/remote start. I bough the truck used and dont have documentation for the system. The remote start works as well as alarm function. The issue is it doesn't physically lock/unlock the car. The back of the remote says 7153V I have tried pairing the system again based off of some youtube videos and other info off the web. The only thing I can think of is I installed a new radio in the truck and that maybe messed up the circuit?

Is there an actual way to see what model i have other than based off what the remote says?

Here's what I got from them maybe it could help you. Steve

    Hello Stephen,

Please note it is either inside the dashboard or under the dashboard. If you having an issue locating the brain unit. We recommend taking your vehicle to an authorized dealer. They will be able to locate the brain unit and give you the model number. Once you have the model number you can download a manual at this link. http://www.directed.com/Support/Guides.aspx

I don't have a viper alarm, but I do have the stickers from the alarm that I have put on every vehicle I've owned. So much cheaper than having the alarm itself.

Ya it came with the truck when I bought it. I probably still would shell out the money for the remote start function. It gets pretty damn cold in WY
