Is it me or does this clear coat seem very soft? I thought my wrx was bad but this might be worse (I guess it makes paint correction easier).

The clear coat is super thin on these 3Gen trucks so be careful.

the clear on the 3rd gen is not really that soft at all. Compared to my previous 2012 black mustang gt the toyota paint is ROCK hard.

Yeah I'm liking the pink stuff! I don't clay bar my truck and I put it on a little thick with a microfiber applicator pad, it gave me more of a work out rubbing it off than Meguiar's Cleaner Wax. I figure it ought to last easy through the winter better than wax does. I to like the way water runs off it, bugs same way I just use the rinse cycle at the car wash. Drive the 8 miles home and my truck is dry.

I washed my truck with Ajax orange dish soap before I put the sealer on and I could tell no Meguiar's cleaner wax was left on the paint. This could be why the Trinova wiped off tough also!

Go to Autogeek.net. Tons of videos, instructions, product reviews & forum. I have found that Toyota clear coat scratches very easily. I think you will enjoy that detailing website. As far as product purchases, they are fast, friendly and very customer oriented. Congrats on your new TRD Pro !

I made the mistake of taking my wife's black Civic through a car wash with the brushes. It put real fine scratches down the length of the car. It took me a good part of the day to get them buffed out. I wont make that mistake again.

I have been using Chemical Guys ever since i ran across their videos on YouTube about two years ago. Been happy with them and haven't used anything different since. I will go to their website, find what I'm looking for and order off of Amazon. Since I am a Amazon Prime account holder I get free two day shipping. Amazon has had all of the products i have needed so far.

Cool man! Anyone have any recommendations for getting those sun-dried (a rarity here in the PNW) bug guts off the truck? I use Meguires Gold shampoo/conditioner but it doesn't seem to cut through the bug guts and I'm already using more "elbow grease" on the microfiber wash mit than I think should be necessary.....
