I didn't get any pics as it was late and I just wanted to finish up, but I've got one slider painted up, just need to do another coat or 2 on the bottom, and then I have the 2nd slider to paint after work. Welding them on tonight and I'll take pics tomorrow when there's actually light out. I'll bring my camera tonight though to try and document the welding on and see how they come out!

In the pics it doesn't look like you removed the step plates before painting. We recommend taking them off so that you can get complete paint coverage on the bottom of the step plate and on the tops of the tubing where they mount. If you do take the steps off, use a screw driver to install the screws by hand when re-assembling them. If you use an electric drill, its possible to break the head of the screw off if you run them in too hard.

I took all plates off except that one. I managed to strip the heads of 2 of the bolts that were quite a bit tighter than the rest were unfortunately.

Stripped meaning that the threads are ruined? Or that you couldn't get the screw out? If the threads are ruined, there should be a few extra screws that we sent with the bolt pack. You should be able to screw those in by hand with a bit of Lock Tite and they will hopefully stay in place.

The threads are fine, it's just the head of the bolt got stripped. I'll see if I have a slightly bigger size head to fit in there to get it out tonight though. The 2 I couldn't get out just wouldn't unscrew at all

we havnt had any get stuck like that before. I will make sure we dont install them so tightly on the rest of them. You could probly grab the head with a vice grip and get it out if a larger size bit doesnt work. Worst case, you can drill the head off with a 1/4" bit or something like that. Then drill through the rest of the screw with a smaller bit to get the screw out of the tube. Then a new screw can be threaded in.

Indeed! Sadly though, this is the last mod it's going to see for a little while. At least until Black Friday and I can find some steals on skids, anyway!

Those look great, I'm still researching this week between Mobtown and C4. The end result of these looks great, what was your process for paint? I'm torn between painting and powdercoating them.
